Callcredit was set up in 2002 as a new UK credit reference agency to challenge the market dominance of Experian and Equifax. Since then it has developed its range of services and now describes itself as ‘experts in UK and international consumer information management.’

Overview

Source worked with Callcredit during its formative years from 2002 to 2007, fulfilling a broad marketing communications brief, which included media relations and copywriting for newsletters, adverts, websites and sales literature.

 

Working with Callcredit

Our media work initially focused on building its profile in the credit trade press and later looked to raise consumer awareness by targeting personal finance journalists, both regionally and nationally.

Many of the communication tactics we introduced are still in use today including its customer-focused newsletter Creditlines and its sponsorship of special supplements in key credit titles which we recommended to highlight particular areas of Callcredit's expertise.

During our successful five year relationship we handled a number of important media launches on behalf of Callcredit, including its consumer overindebtedness initiative, online consumer credit report service MyCallcredit, and closed user group credit reference service Share.
