Having successfully launched the new concept of Freedom Back Clinics in Leeds, Source was tasked with launching the opening of the third clinic of a planned 40, in Canary Wharf, London.

Opening in February 2010, the location provided a fantastic opportunity to reach more than 95,000 people who work in the area.

Source's role

Working with the marketing team at Freedom Back Clinics, Source put together a launch plan for the clinic which would allow for maximum coverage prior, during and post clinic launch.

News stories to generate pre-opening coverage included the announcement of new team appointments, as well as promoting free spinal screenings, and interviews were set up with the key media, which also lead to a full page editorial feature in the main newspaper.

Given a celebrity would add weight to the campaign, Olympic swimmer Mark Foster officially opened the new clinic, with all Freedom's target media attending. Receiving a free treatment to help his back problem, Mark stood as a perfect example of how Freedom was able to help sports enthusiasts.

Did you know?

TheCanary Wharf site is only the third of a planned 40 clinics throughout the UK. Source has also recently launched opening of the Manchester clinic with the help of ex-footballer, Lee Sharpe, and is currently preparing to launch two further London clinics.
