Overview

OCNYHR's aim is to grow the number of organisations offering training courses that deliver OCN qualifications and grow the number of people gaining OCN qualifications.

Source proposed a regional media relations campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of OCN qualifications among its three key audiences - the general public (potential students) businesses (employers) and training providers.

Working with Open College Network

Source maintained a regular flow of news stories / case studies to show how individuals had benefitted from gaining OCN qualifications and how businesses had benefitted from introducing OCN accredited courses for their employees. As we looked to gain coverage for the training providers at the same time, we helped OCNYHR to provide added value support to its qualifications clients.

We also placed several opinion pieces by OCNYHR's regional director on the OpEd pages of the Yorkshire Post, helping to position her as an expert on credit-based learning.

During our time working with OCNYHR we promoted the organisation's move to new headquarters in Wakefield, including successfully negotiating the visit of Lord Young, Minister for Skills, to officially open the new building.
