The Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway has seen three of its site managers recognised for the exceptional standard of their work by the National House Building Council (NHBC).

Martin Griffiths, John Hallett and Vincent Hardcastle were all named as NHBC Pride in the Job winners for work carried out at Queenshead Park in Queensbury, Parkside in Leeds and Centurion Fields, Elloughton respectively

The annual NHBC awards celebrate the personal achievements of site managers in creating outstanding quality. And of the 15,000 entrants from across the UK, only 450 are lucky enough to win.

Vincent, who has worked for Bellway for five years, said: “To be one of just 450 winners from over 15,000 entrants is a fantastic achievement and one that I’m very proud of. And the fact another two Bellway site managers here in Yorkshire were also selected goes to show that Bellway definitely has the right recipe for building exceptional new homes in the region.

Ross Clarkson, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, added: “We pride ourselves on the quality of homes we build and to see Martin, John and Vincent recognised for their work bears testament not just to their own personal achievements, but those of every single member of their teams and the commitment they’ve shown in building the Bellway way.”

The next stage in the NHBC awards, which take place in York in September, will see Martin, John and Vincent swap their hard hats for smart suits as they find out if they’ve been awarded the NHBC Seal of Excellence.

“It’d be nice to go one step further and get a Seal of Excellence to go alongside the Quality Award,” added Vincent. “But I’m already delighted with my lot and so just want to wish everyone, Martin and John in particular, the best of luck.”
