Bryan Robson, a Cashino team member from Margate, has been named Praesepe’s “Employee of the Month – October 2017” after he went above and beyond to help the families of the Grenfell Tower fire.

Bryan, 54, who has worked for Cashino for only six months, was nominated for the award by Vicky Grier, head of human resources for Praesepe, who said: “Bryan was off work when the fire started at Grenfell Tower. He jumped straight on a train to help victims directly and also helped out in the temporary depots set up to distribute much needed supplies. But, he didn’t stop there; he followed up with further visits taking toys to children in emergency accommodation, and giving up more free time to take some of the children to visit the sea life centre, giving them a much needed day out in an attempt to bring some normality back into their lives.”

Vicky added, “He still continues to provide any help he can for the families. Bryan committed a completely selfless act, and he is someone to be truly admired. I think he is more than deserving of this month’s EOTM award.”

Praesepe, a national leisure services group that employs over 1,900 people throughout the UK, operates Beacon Bingo, Cashino, Crystal Casino, Funshine, Jackpot FM and Tan Express. Its Cashino venue in Margate is located on Marine Terrace.

“I’m incredibly surprised to have won the award, as I was just doing what I could to help those in need. It was in my time off duty so for Praesepe and my colleagues to recognise this is truly humbling,” Bryan said.

Bryan was joined by colleagues in a surprise ceremony on Tuesday 28th November and Praesepe’s CEO, Nick Harding presented a certificate to mark his hard work and selflessness; a special Employee of the Month award; and £250 of high street vouchers.
