She’s only been in her new job for seven weeks, but Bellway’s newest sales advisor has already helped buck a trend that has dogged the housebuilding industry for decades – the traditional summer school holiday sales drop-off.

Sarah, who comes from Hull and has a degree in Psychology, is working at the nationwide housebuilder’s Centurion Fields development in Elloughton. Commenting on the summer sales success, she said: “I was told that starting in mid-July meant I’d have a relatively easy introduction to the job as the vast majority of housebuilders see visitor numbers and, as a result, sales drop during the school summer holidays.”

“This though definitely wasn’t the case here at Elloughton. We’ve been busy day in day out since my very first day, and have been averaging over a sale a week right through the holidays.”

Located off Welton Road on the outskirts of Elloughton, Centurion Fields comprises 151 three and four bedroom homes and an exclusive selection of one bedroom apartments and two bedroom semi-detached properties. Prices range from £94,995 for the apartments to £314,995 for a four bedroom detached Hambleton.

“The Hambletons are absolutely fantastic homes,” said Sarah. “They look great from the outside, but once you step inside they get even better. There’s an open plan kitchen / dining / family area that is stunning, the sitting rooms are spacious and the bedrooms perfect for growing families.”

Meanwhile, the apartments, of which only one remains, were designed and priced with first time buyers in mind – the £94,995 price dropping to just £75,996, with a deposit of just £4,750, when purchased using the Government’s Help to Buy scheme. They final one comprises a welcoming hallway that leads to an open-plan modern kitchen – complete with an integrated stainless steel oven, hob and cooker hood - dining area and lounge. It also features a stylish contemporary bathroom with Roca sanitary ware and a generously sized double bedroom.

“Centurion Fields is one of the most popular developments we have in Yorkshire,” continued Sarah, “and so to give first time buyers the chance to get on the property ladder somewhere that’s in such high demand really is an opportunity not to be missed.”
