One of the region’s biggest and most lavish annual fundraising events, The Firecracker Ball is now less than six weeks away, and all tickets have sold out!

The extravagant black tie ball, which is taking place on November 11th at Rudding Park, is now in its 15th year and to date has raised over £2 million for Barnardo’s – including an astonishing £285,000 in 2016.

We’re once again providing the marketing support for this brilliant event, with director, Martha Phillips sitting on the Firecracker Ball committee for the third year running.

In recent weeks there have been some very exciting pieces of news for Firecracker, including a partnership with The and the announcement of the headline act for the night – the fabulous 70s / 80s soul sensations, Hot Chocolate. If that wasn’t enough, the theme for the 2017 ball has also been announced as ‘Alice In Wonderland’ meaning Rudding Park guests venue will once again be transported into a breath-taking fairy-tale world. Hot Chocolate, whose hit ‘You Sexy Thing’ has made the top 10 in three different decades, will be performing their most popular hits throughout the night.

“The Firecracker Ball is one of the biggest and best annual events in Yorkshire, and we’re delighted, as always, to be involved,” said Martha. “The money raised each year really does changes the lives of so many children and young people across the region.”

Phil Taylor, chair of the Firecracker Ball committee and Barnardo’s vice president added; “The Firecracker Ball is a fabulous opportunity to host clients or friends at a truly memorable event. It’s a must for Yorkshire’s leading corporate businesses and entrepreneurs, with companies and individuals returning year on year.”

The Firecracker Ball committee is keen to hear from individuals and businesses in the region who are interested in sponsorship packages, or donating auction or other prizes for the night. For more information contact Kirsty Guy 01748 821295 or or visit
