From the Source desk: March highlights

2026 marks 25 years of Source – and even after all that time it’s still all go, go, go!

I mean, it feels like we quite literally blinked at the end of February and now it’s Easter. But fear not, we’ve been paying attention, so without any further ado, here’s the low down on what last month entailed in this glorious, Spring like round-up.

Client Corner

We’ve added two new clients – Debeo and Swurf –; been to Milton Keynes to meet and greet the MK Lightning ice hockey team with the always wonderful, MERKUR Casino; and kickstarted Stridon’s new ‘Gen AI in Law Firms’ webinar series.

Debeo is the UK’s first purpose-built online alternative finance app that works to help SMEs manage their debt positions and navigate the costly pitfalls of commercial borrowing. Our brief was to promote its launch across regional, trade, and national publications, while also provide social media support. The resulting coverage really did give the business a great start and we look forward to working with them on their exciting journey.

Swurf’s a brilliant venue sourcing app that connects remote workers with welcoming spaces to work in and aims to drive business to help boost the hospitality sector. Run by Nikki Gibson, who we worked with when she was with the Radisson SAS back in the late noughties, we were tasked with promoting its latest partnership across a series of different geographical markets. The coverage that followed provided yet more publicity for the company, just shortly after it received a huge amount of funding that will really boost its ambitious expansion plans.

Meanwhile, we can’t leave Client Corner without mentioning Ella and Annabel’s road trip to Milton Keynes, which involved a lengthy playlist, many Percy Pigs, a lot of roundabouts and a great time with one of our oldest clients.

Out and About

It was a busy month out and about as well. We got the chance to shake off the shackles of winter and get all dressed up for both the Yorkshire Businesswoman Awards, where director Martha was a finalist in, and the Endo Ball, which raised money for Endometriosis UK at Rudding Park Hotel.

Meanwhile, the Smart Works Leeds Women’s Day event at Leeds First Direct Arena was a great event, which really focussed everyone’s attention on International Women’s Day; and saw Team Source take part in a Cheltenham Gold Cup themed event organised by Northcliffe Golf Club.

Our outings weren’t all glitz, glamour and golf clubs. We were lucky enough to be invited to Manchester Metropolitan University for their ‘Spotlight on PR’ event, an annual seminar that bridges the gaps between new generation PR professionals and those who have been making waves in the industry for years. Martha (fresh from her award nomination) was a guest panellist and speaker and delivered a moving and insightful talk about the highlights of strategic leadership in a successful PR career.

On the Horizon

Something very exciting began at Source this month… we introduced our Marketing Peer Groups.

They’re designed to give senior marketers the opportunity to meet others in the profession and ultimately find solutions to the big marketing challenges that are keeping them awake at night, through the collaborative help, expertise and support of the wider group. We’ve recently held two pilot sessions in Leeds and been overwhelmed by the positive feedback we’ve received from all attendees. Watch this space for news of more to come and email [email protected] to find out more or register your interest in attending a future peer group.

And Finally

It’s fair to say that March has been an exciting month, but we’re heading into April with a bigger buzz than ever. Go on, guess why… IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY!!!

We turn 25 on 2nd April and the celebrations will run right through to the 30th when we have a big day of birth, cake day, bon anniversaire, emergence day party at Manahatta in Leeds.

But for now, we hope you enjoyed our March roundup and don’t worry… we will be back!
